Technical trend analysis of modified atmosphere fresh-keeping machines
Modified atmosphere preservation technology has been studied in China since the 1990s and developed in combination with national conditions. After repeated practice, independent innovation and construction technology have been developed to solve the key issues of airtightness technology in brick structure storage. The technical equipment configuration has been refined, and the gas regulation process has been optimized. The oxygen reduction in the storage adopts advanced carbon molecular sieve physical adsorption method, which has no negative effect on the stored fruits and vegetables, fully meeting the requirements of green food and obtaining patents. Due to the establishment of a new concept of airtight structure, Zhezhan has developed the construction concept of a reservoir, which can be either newly constructed or renovated into a controlled atmosphere reservoir using existing brick structures; Can increase the air conditioning function of constant temperature storage and refrigerated storage. Can build a modified atmosphere storage facility with different storage capacities ranging from 10 tons to 500 tons or more. This has created conditions for the popularization and promotion of modified atmosphere preservation technology, and provided support for users to expand industrial and economic development. The research on modified atmosphere technology can be traced back to 1821 when German biologist Berard discovered that fruits and vegetables can reduce metabolic activity at low oxygen levels. But it was not until the 20th century that people truly began to delve into the study of climate control. In the 1960s, Professor Stanley Burg from the University of Miami in the United States first proposed the concept of hypobaric storage, which sparked an international research boom in the 1970s. However, due to the extremely high manufacturing requirements for large pressure vessels, it is not possible to reduce the cost. This technology cannot be industrialized and has been stuck in the laboratory stage. In the past 20 years, CA storage has been widely promoted due to its relatively low cost and significantly better storage effect than refrigeration, becoming the mainstream of controlled atmosphere storage both domestically and internationally. It is worth mentioning that Chinese scholars have achieved certain results in the research of vacuum controlled atmosphere, especially in the production of low-cost vacuum containers, which has made the industrial promotion of vacuum storage a reality. In 1997, China built the world's first 1000 ton (200 ton) vacuum storage and preservation warehouse in Baotou. However, there is still a significant gap between China and developed countries in terms of fresh fruit preservation. According to reports, in developed Western countries, the preservation and storage of fresh fruits accounts for about 40% of the total fruit production, with fresh fruits stored in controlled atmosphere cold storage accounting for 80% of the total storage. In 1996, the storage capacity of fresh fruits in China was only 22% of the total fruit production, about 10 million tons, of which refrigeration accounted for 50% -60%, and less than 100000 tons were stored in controlled atmosphere refrigerated warehouses. The main reason that restricts the promotion of gas control technology in China is still economic factors. The economic capacity for building a gas control reservoir is 1000 tons, and the investment for a CA reservoir of this scale is more than 10 million yuan. The pressure reducing reservoir is even more expensive, requiring 18 million yuan. The fixed asset investment for storing each kilogram of storage is about 9 yuan, which is obviously too expensive for China, where fruit and vegetable products are relatively cheap and the economy is not yet developed. At present, the timing for large-scale development of modified atmosphere preservation is not yet mature.
